Exciting years ahead for the culinary scene in Antwerp.
Antwerp, the city of our headquarters, will be the centre of attention. We are happy to share this news with our followers. The World’s 50 best and a new state of the art landmark will brighten up our world soon! Great events we look forward to together with our interns and partners.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants gala awards in Antwerp
On 5th October, the 2021 list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants will be revealed in Antwerp in a live countdown on stage and broadcast simultaneously across 50 Best’s digital channels. The gala awards ceremony will be hosted at the impressive Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp (FMCCA). For those less familiar with the geography of lowland Europe, Antwerp is a historic port city in Flanders, which is the Flemish-speaking northern region of Belgium. Antwerp is most famous for art, fashion, design and diamonds, but it also boasts a highly discerning culinary culture. Visitors to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants events will have the opportunity to explore the wider region of Flanders, which is home to premium food and drink producers as well as some the finest restaurants in Europe, making it something of a hidden foodie hotspot.
A state of the art landmark in 2024 in Antwerp
A cooking lab for chefs, a micro-brewery, local products, shops and a restaurant.
All of the above will be present in 2024 in a brand-new Flemish Culinary Centre.
This project will be housed in an historical building on the banks of the river Scheldt and will be the place to be for foodies and culinary students who want to discover the culinary scene in Flanders. Sustainability, innovation and accessibility are the concepts to be looking forward to!
